HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Daveon Boardingham and Cedric Jenkins scored 22 points each and Southern Mississippi scored the first 12 points of the game and cruised to a 135-41 victory over Dillard on Thursday night.
The 135 points were the most ever for the Golden Eagles (11-4), surpassing the 133 they scored against Virginia Tech in 1988.
The Eagles set multiple other school records, including steals (27), 3-pointers (18), largest margin of victory (94 points) and largest halftime margin (45) and also tied the record for assists (40) and turnovers (36).
Neil Watson set a school record with 17 assists, also the second most ever in Conference-USA and the second best in Division I this year.
The Golden Eagles have won five of their past six games. Also in double figures were Dwayne Davis with 17 points, Norville Carey with 14 points and 12 rebounds, Michael Craig with 14 points and Jonathan Mills 13.
Southern Miss' home winning streak reached 20 games.
Jaquan Green led Dillard (1-8) with 15 points. The Blue Devils, an NAIA team, have lost six straight.
Southern Miss shot 56.7 percent from the field (51 of 90), including 50 percent on 3-pointers (18 of 36). The Golden Eagles also made 15 of 16 from the foul line.
