LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- Bandja Sy scored a career-high 25 points to lead New Mexico State to an 82-62 victory over UTSA on Thursday night in conference play.
Sy also led the team with eight rebounds.
Sim Bhullar scored 15 points, and Daniel Mullings had 14 for the Aggies (7-8, 1-2 Western Athletic). Tyrone Watson had six assists.
Michael Hale III and Kannon Burrage led the Roadrunners (4-9, 0-3) with 14 points apiece. Jeromie Hill added 13 points. Edrico McGregor led the team with four rebounds.
New Mexico State led 38-32 at halftime, and returned to score the first 12 points of the second half. They never looked back.
The Aggies shot 77 percent from the field in the second half -- compared to 36 percent for the Roadrunners -- and led by as many as 32. The Aggies outrebounded the Roadrunners 36-18.
