STOCKTON, Calif. -- Kevin Foster scored 31 points, including a tie-breaking 3-pointer with 55 seconds remaining, to lead Santa Clara to a 75-71 victory over Pacific Saturday night.
Foster, averaging 20 points per game entering play, had 28 points in the second half for the Broncos (8-2). After his 3-pointer gave Santa Clara a 69-66 lead, he stole the ball and scored to make it a five-point game.
Evan Roquemore added 21 points and eight assists for Santa Clara and Marc Trasolini had 13 points and 12 rebounds. They each made a pair of free throws in the final seconds to wrap up the win.
Sama Taku led the Tigers (5-5) with 23 points. Lorenzo McCloud scored 12 for Pacific, which led 30-27 at halftime.
Pacific is leaving the Big West Conference after this season to join Santa Clara in the West Coast Conference.
