ALBANY, N.Y. -- Mike Black scored 21 points and Jacob Iati 20 as Albany continued its dominance over St. Francis (N.Y.) with a 77-73 win Wednesday night.
St. Francis (2-4) played catch up all game long, and pulled within 70-69 following Ben Mockford's 3-pointer with 33 seconds to play, but the Great Danes (7-2) hit 7 of 8 free throws after to earn the win.
Albany, which is now 5-0 all-time against the Terriers, opened with an 18-0 run that spanned over 10 minutes.
The Terriers pulled within 25-22 on Dre Calloway's layup with 4:37 left, but went into another lull and entered halftime down 35-26.
The Terriers tied the game at 41-all on Kevin Douglas' layup with 16:12 left in the second half, but never took the lead.
Travis Nichols led the Terriers with 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting, while Mockford hit six 3-pointers for 18 points.
