POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Kyle Wilson scored 20 points, Tanner Plomb added 17 and Army used a dominating late surge to put away Marist 76-62 on Saturday night.
Army (4-0) turned what was a tightly contested game into a rout, closing the final 10 minutes on a 21-3 run. Wilson tied the game at 59 with two free throws, Dylan Cox hit a pair, and Tanner Omlid's three-point play ignited the run. Four more free throws from Wilson along with a layup by Cox made it 74-62 with 1:40 left.
Marist (0-2) went cold, making just 2 of its last 16 field goal attempts. The Red Foxes shot 23.1 percent from the field in the second half after going 16 of 25 (64 percent) in the first. Army scored 29 points off of Marist's 22 turnovers.
Chavaughn Lewis had 21 points for Marist, but only scored three in the second half.
