COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Jud Dillard had team highs of 20 points and seven rebounds off the bench as Tennessee Tech rolled over NAIA Berea 69-45 Monday night.
Dillard was 7-of-11 shooting, including 4 of 6 from 3-point range, in 29 minutes of action in the blowout victory. Dillard had been in the starting lineup in each of Tennessee Tech's previous games.
Lanerryl Johnson was the Golden Eagles' only other scorer in double figures, finishing with 10, as Tennessee Tech (4-3) got points from 10 different players.
Berea (7-3) was led by Aaron Ponder with 11 points.
The Mountaineers opened with a 5-0 lead, but the Golden Eagles' scored the next 19 points and led by as many as 16, 23-7, in the first 10 minutes.
Berea briefly closed the gap to three, 29-26, shortly before halftime, but then allowed a 13-0 run and never got closer than 10 again.
