COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Five Texas A&M players scored in double digits as the Aggies defeated Prairie View A&M 81-59 on Thursday night.
Fabyon Harris scored a game-high 18 points, including making 4 of 6 3-pointers, and he was followed by Ray Turner (17), J'Mychal Reese (15) and Elston Turner and Jordan Green (10 each). Ray Turner led A&M (3-0) with nine rebounds, but the Panthers (2-2) had a 41-34 advantage on the glass.
Jules Montgomery led Prairie View with 12 points. Both teams struggled from the field, as the Aggies shot 44.4 percent (24 of 54) and the Panthers shot 32.8 percent (20 of 61). While the turnover battle was fairly close (Prairie View with 14 and A&M 11) the Aggies outscored the Panthers 21-10 on points off of turnovers.
Panthers guard Louis Munks left the game with 6:04 remaining in a wheelchair with a compound fracture of his right leg.
