Cleveland St. 63, Wright St 56

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) -- Carlos English scored 18 points and

Cleveland State used a huge differential at the line to beat Wright

State 63-56 on Wednesday night.

English hit 7-of-8 free throws, matching Wright State's

production for the night (7-of-14).

The Vikings (9-15, 5-9 Horizon League) were 25-of-32 on foul

shots.

Victor Morris added 15 points, hitting 6-of-7 free throws, with

Ije Nwankwo scoring 13 points and J'Nathan Bullock 10 for Cleveland

State.

DaShaun Wood had 25 points and Drew Burleson 12 for Wright State

(12-12, 8-6).

Cleveland State trailed 29-23 at the half but took the lead for

good on Nwankwo's jumper with 10:45 left. Leading 45-42 with 7

minutes remaining, the Vikings went on an 8-0 run with Morris

hitting a 3-pointer, Nwankwo contributing a three-point play and

Bullock hitting a jumper.

English then hit five free throws in the final 42 seconds to

clinch the win.
