NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) -- Kerwin Forges scored 15 points to help

lead Northwestern State to a 77-68 win over Sam Houston State

Thursday night and remain unbeaten at home.

Byron Allen added 10 points for the Demons (14-6, 7-1

Southland), who scored 19 points off Bearkat turnovers. With the

victory, Northwestern State stays atop the Southland Conference

standings.

Chris Jordan led Sam Houston State (14-6, 5-3) with 15 points.

Aaron Wade added 14 and Ryan Bright had 13.

Northwestern State led 37-32 at the half and got 38 points from

its bench.
