MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) -- George Tandy's rebound putback with 2.6

seconds remaining gave Eastern Illinois a 57-56 win over Morehead

State Wednesday night in the Ohio Valley Conference.

Trailing 56-55 with less than 30 seconds left, the Panthers

(1-7, 1-3 OVC) missed two shots before Tandy hit the put back.

Eastern Illinois led 27-17 at the half, but saw the Eagles

battle back in the final 20 minutes. Josh Gomes led Eastern

Illinois with 17 points

Stan Januska hit back-to-back 3-pointers to put Morehead State

(1-7, 0-4) ahead 40-37 with 11:09 remaining.

The Panthers took a 55-52 lead when Bobby Catchings hit a

3-pointer with 1:14 left.

Morehead then went on a 4-0 run on consecutive baskets by Shaun

Williams and Cory Burns to go ahead 56-55.

Januska and Quentin Pryor each had 11 points for Morehead State.
