Harris each scored 17 points to help power Canisius over Marist

85-81 on Saturday night in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.

The Golden Griffins (10-17, 8-10) shot 60 percent from the floor

in the first half, with a 7-1 run at the end to lead 50-40 at the

break. Marist rallied and closed within a point with almost five

minutes to play and trailed 83-81 with only 10 seconds left when

Harris iced the win with a pair of free throws.

Marist (11-16, 8-10) was led by senior center Will McClurkin

with 22 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Pierre Monagan had 21 points

and seven rebounds. Will Whittington had 18 points, while Brandon

Ellerbee added 11 for the Red Foxes.

Wilson grabbed 11 rebounds for Canisius. Doss DeWitt had 16

points and Jon Popofski scored 14.
