BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) -- Demario Eddins scored 25 points and

Saturday night.

Eddins became the 16th player in UAB history to reach 1,000

career points.

won its second game in a row after losing four straight.

Tulane (9-16, 3-11). Tulane had won four of it's past five games

pulled out to a 36-27 halftime lead and blew the game open early in

the second half.

UAB started the second half with a 19-5 run to build a 55-32

lead. Tulane could get no closer than 20 points the rest of the way

and the Blazers led by as many as 36 points down the stretch.

UAB's pressure defense forced 29 Tulane turnovers.
