NACOGDOCHES, Texas (AP) -- Marcus Clark scored 15 points and had
six assists and four steals to lead Stephen F. Austin to an 87-47
victory over Houston Baptist on Monday night.
Clark shot 7-of-9 from the field. Leonard Brown and Anthony Paez
each had 13 points and Josh Porter had 10 for Stephen F. Austin
(6-5). Hank Rivers had 11 rebounds.
Ben McCain got a tip-in at the buzzer to end the first half to
give Houston Baptist (7-5) a 34-34 tie. Stephen F. Austin opened
the second half with a 13-4 run to take a 47-38 lead with 15:32
left.
Stephen F. Austin shot 59 percent from the field in the second
half to 26 percent for Houston Baptist.
Chris Miller led Houston Baptist with 13 points. McCain added
11.
