Cali Summer Games-July 09: Small but got to the rim consistently. Has the confidence to make tough passes. She slung a 60-foot baseball pass and put it on the money. Needs to watch her reactions when things go bad. As the point guard and vocal leader her team will feed off of her both positively and negatively.
TOC Dec. 08: Monica Jackson is a 5-6 fiercely competitive point guard. She is a very shifty guard who moves well in and out of the lane. One of her best attributes is her ability to score the basketball. And she can score in a variety of ways as she does for Chatsworth (Calif.). She can penetrate to the basket with quickness or she can penetrate with nice hesitation moves and crafty ballhandling. If the penetrating lanes are not there, Jackson can hit the outside jumper. In transition Jackson uses her outstanding speed to create advantages for her team. She also possesses a nice spin move to finish in traffic. A vocal leader as well, Jackson showed well at the Nike TOC.
