ESPN Player Evaluations

FIBA Americas-June '10: A lightning quick guard, Quinones' speed is both her greatest strength and provides the most stress for the 5-foot-7 guard who hopes to continue college play in the states. Sometimes Quinones gets going so fast her mind can't keep up with her feet, and she looses control because all her momentum is carrying her forward so fast. But stick a slower defender on her, and the other team will be toast. Quinones has great ball handling skills and the ability to break down defenders and get to the basket. She's not that big, but her elevation in the lane allows her to get her jump shot off. She does a good job running the show but sometimes gets caught up in too much East/West dribbling instead of North/South advancement. She also must do a better job of using her body to "post up" defenders on the inbounds pass. While not a D-I prospect, Quinones would be a terrific D-II or D-III player in the states.
