Women's Olympic golf field as of April 26, 2016

If the Olympics cutoff point were the April 26, 2016, rankings, world No. 1 Lydia Ko, above, would be in New Zealand's golf delegation along with 409th-ranked Liv Cheng. Martin Hunter/Getty Images

The system used to set the 60-person Olympic field -- in which the top 15 players in the Official World Golf Rankings get in, with the limitation that no country can send more than four competitors from that top 15 -- will certainly leave some big names on the outside looking in. Once you get past the top 15, no nation can send more than two players.

Here is how the women's Olympic golf field would look if it were determined by the April 26, 2016, world rankings.
