The UEFA Champions League was back after a couple of weeks off, and Matchday 2 of the 2026-27 league phase kicked off Tuesday, with nine matches across the continent.

Unbeaten Barcelona went to Istanbul for a showdown with Galatasaray and ended up 4-1 winners on the night, while contender Bayern Munich were given a shock by Norwegian side Viking FK as the game ended in a 3-3 draw.

Elsewhere, defending Premier League champions Arsenal hosted Lille and won 3-0, while defending Serie A champions Internazionale were stunned by Club Brugge, as they lost 4-3 as Nicolò Tresoldi scored a hat trick.

In the early matches, Sporting CP defeated Lens 2-0 and and Sabah FK defeated Slavia Prague 2-0. We also had two more games as RB Leipzig defeated PSV Eindhoven 1-0 and Villarreal defeated Napoli 3-1.
