The Lewis family have put another £120 million of capital into Tottenham, the Press Association understands.

The additional funds takes the amount provided to around £320m in the past 12 months and follows on from another £100m put into the club this summer by the Lewis family, who run Spurs' majority owner ENIC.

The Lewis family have taken on a bigger role in decision-making at the club since Daniel Levy stepped down as executive chairman last September.

The summer investment increased the shares of the Lewis family in Tottenham to around 88%.

Levy was invited at the time to add to his proportionate share to ensure his stake was not diluted, but did not take up that option ahead of the set deadline, so his holding went to around 27% from 29.88%

It is not yet clear whether Levy will be given the chance to participate in this latest move, which, if not, could have a similar impact around his stake, which would then be in the region of 25%.
