STARTING PITCHERS FOR WEDNESDAY

Pitchers are ranked in order of their Forecaster/Daily Notes projected fantasy points (FPTS), using ESPN's standard scoring system (2 points per win, minus-2 per loss, 3 per inning, 1 per K, minus-1 apiece per hit or walk allowed, minus-2 per earned run allowed).

T: The pitcher's handedness. OPP: Opposing team. RST%: The pitcher's roster percentage in ESPN leagues. W%: The individual starting pitcher's win probability using ESPN projections. IP: Projected innings pitched. H+BB: Projected hits plus walks allowed. ER: Projected earned runs allowed. K: Projected strikeouts.

If a team is planning on using an "opener" to start their game, but will rely on a "bulk pitcher" to follow him on the mound after 1-2 innings, the bulk pitcher is listed and indicated with an asterisk.

Pitchers to stream on Wednesday

Spoiler alert: This is not the ideal slate to make up points in pitching. Connor Prielipp leads the way after posting a 2.70 ERA and 0.94 WHIP over his last five outings with 24 strikeouts in 26 2/3 innings. The Minnesota Twins are on the road against the San Francisco Giants, so the right-hander will work in a pitcher-friendly park and face a depleted lineup missing Rafael Devers and Bryce Eldridge.
Walbert Urena hopes to end his rookie season on a roll when the Los Angeles Angels visit the Athletics. The 22-year-old righty has completed at least six frames over his last four outings, posting a 1.93 ERA and 0.86 WHIP with 28 punchouts to just three free passes over 28 frames. Sutter Health Park has been a nightmare for pitchers most of the season, but the temperatures should be in the high 70s and the Athletics' injury-riddled lineup has struggled at home for a month.

Hitters to stream on Wednesday

The Arizona Diamondbacks face the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. Lars Nootbaar has been leading off for the Diamondbacks against right-handers, and the Rockies will send Mason Adams and his 5.09 ERA to the hill.
The Minnesota Twins are playing out the string, but Royce Lewis and Ryan Jeffers are hoping to end the season on a high note. The club is on the road against the San Francisco Giants, with lefty Cesar Perdomo getting the call. His 3.72 ERA is misleading, considering he's fanned only 12 while issuing seven walks and yielding three homers in just 19 1/3 innings.
Paul Goldschmidt should be leading off when the New York Yankees take on the lefty Steven Matz and the Tampa Bay Rays. Goldschmidt's role has fluctuated this season, but he's been productive with the platoon edge, batting .309/.404/.592 versus southpaws.
After three hitless games upon returning from a long absence, Konnor Griffin has a .283/.333/.396 line over his past dozen contests. He'll enjoy the platoon edge when the Pittsburgh Pirates host the St. Louis Cardinals and lefty Matthew Liberatore. Griffin's power stroke is lacking, but Liberatore has served up 27 long balls in only 149 1/3 innings.
