Toss West Indies chose to bowl vs India
Shai Hope won the toss and elected to field in what was expected to be a high-scoring third T20I of the series. All five matches on this tour so far have been won by the chasing side.
India made two changes, one of them as a reaction to the small boundaries of Indore. Kuldeep Yadav made way for Prince Yadav becauser they felt it would be one spinner too many for the conditions in Indore. Shivam Dube made way for Nitish Kumar Reddy in a like-for-like switch. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continued to stay on the bench.
West Indies also made two changes, one those forced after Romario Shepherd couldn't finish his spell in the second match even though he did come out to bat. Quentin Sampson replaced him. Like India, West Indies switched one spinner, Akeal Hosein, for Keemo Paul, who is a seam-bowling allrounder.
