Abhishek Sharma has moved up to No. 2 in the ICC men's T20I batting rankings after his 82 in India's series opener against Afghanistan. Abhishek climbed one place, going past Pakistan's Sahibzada Farhan. He is now 51 rating points behind team-mate Ishan Kishan, who remains the No. 1-ranked T20I batter.
Sanju Samson also made gains after scoring 57 in India's seven-wicket win in the second T20I. Samson moved up four places to No. 30 as India took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
There were significant gains for India's bowlers too. Varun Chakravarthy moved up two places to No. 5, while Jasprit Bumrah jumped seven spots to No. 10. Arshdeep Singh was the biggest mover among the Indian bowlers, climbing 11 places to No. 14, while Axar Patel rose six spots to No. 27.
Afghanistan allrounder Azmatullah Omarzai also made progress in the T20I allrounders' rankings, jumping two positions up to No. 5. Mohammad Nabi went up one spot to No. 8.
Robinson third among Test bowlers
In the Test rankings, England fast bowler Ollie Robinson reached a career-high No. 3 among bowlers after taking 21 wickets in the three-Test series against Pakistan. Josh Tongue, who took 19 wickets in the series, moved two places to a career-best No. 11.
Robinson also climbed seven places to No. 13 among Test allrounders after his half-century in the third Test in Birmingham.
Among Test batters, Pakistan captain Babar Azam rose two places to No. 13, Shan Masood climbed four to No. 37, and England wicketkeeper Jamie Smith moved three spots to No. 20.
Elsewhere, Nathan Ellis climbed 20 places to No. 20 in the ODI bowling rankings after taking five wickets in Australia's 59-run win over Zimbabwe in Harare. Matthew Renshaw's 109 in the same game lifted him from outside the top 100 to No. 68 among ODI batters, while Cooper Connolly moved nine places to No. 77 after scoring 51.
