Toss England chose to bow vs Ireland

England won the toss and chose to bowl first at a sunbathed Leicester for the first of three ODIs against Ireland which will conclude their busy international summer.

After naming a developmental squad missing five key players for this series, Maia Bouchier - in and out of the England line-up over the past couple of years - will open in the absence of Danni Wyatt-Hodge while Jodi Grewcock, who made her debut against New Zealand at the start of the summer, comes in a No. 3.

England's pace attack will be spearheaded by Lauren Filer and Issy Wong, with teenager Tilly Corteen-Coleman gaining the chance to add a fourth England cap to her name while fellow left-arm spinner Sophie Ecclestone is rested. Acting captain Charlie Dean and allrounder Mady Villiers will join her in the spin-bowling ranks.

Ireland welcome back allrounders Alice Tector and Arlene Kelly from recent injuries.
