Lakshya Raichandani will lead India Under-19 in the one-day series against Australia Under-19 at home, with Yashbardhan Chauhan as his deputy. The roles will be reversed for the multi-day fixtures.

The one-day squad includes Aaryavir Sehwag and Anvay Dravid, sons of former India captains Virender Sehwag and Rahul Dravid respectively. Anvay Dravid was part of Sri Lanka tour in July, and scored 87 in the second one-day game. He is one of two wicketkeepers alongside Rajat Baghel.

The three one-day matches will be played on September 18, 21 and 23, while the multi-day fixtures are scheduled for September 27 to 30 and the second for October 5 to 8. All the matches except the second four-dayer, which will be played in Ahmedabad, will be held in Rajkot.

Raichandani goes into the series after a prolific tour of Sri Lanka, where he was the leading run-scorer in the two-match four-day series with 307 runs at an average of 153.50. He made 207 in Galle, before scoring an unbeaten 100 in Colombo. He has also played four first-class matches for Uttarakhand, and has scored 223 runs, which includes three half-centuries.

Raichandani was one of several India batters to make an impact in Sri Lanka. Sagar Virk scored 134 in the "Test", while Manal Chauhan made 150 and Kushagra Ojha 111 in the second.

Yashbardhan scored 201 runs across the two "Tests" and took six wickets. Legspinner Rohit Yadav also took six wickets, while fast bowlers Chigurupati Venkata and Pranav Ragavendra took five apiece.

The four-day squad has a number of players who also feature in the one-day team, including Raichandani, Yashbardhan, Ojha, Manal, Rohit Yadav and Mohit Ulva. Manav Krishna and Abhipray Biswas are the wicketkeeping options for the longer format.
