Toss India chose to bowl vs Ireland
India won the toss for a second time in the series against Ireland and preferred to chase once again with captain Shreyas Iyer making note of the importance of adapting to conditions in Belfast. The same pitch that was used in the first T20I will be in use again.
One-nil down in the two-match series, India made two changes with allrounder Suryansh Shedge and fast bowler Prince Yadav coming in for Washington Sundar and Prasidh Krishna. Shedge top-scored for India A last month in a tied 50-over game against Sri Lanka A. He already has experience playing under Shreyas in the IPL. Prince also set the IPL alight, a bowler capable of generating high pace and a natural at bowling yorkers. Both men are playing their first T20Is. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi remains on the bench.
Lorcan Tucker confirmed that Ireland were going in with the same team. They have a milestone to celebrate with Harry Tector playing his 100th T20I.
