Toss Scotland chose to bowl vs England
Scotland have won the toss and elected to field first in their Women's T20 World Cup clash with England at a sun-drenched Headingley.
With captain Nat Sciver-Brunt already ruled out by a calf muscle injury she aggravated during Tuesday's win against Ireland in Southampton, England have made one change, bringing in Sophia Dunkley at No. 3 for her first match of the tournament.
Charlie Dean will captain the side, as she did in the series against New Zealand and India in the lead-up to this ICC event after Sciver-Brunt initially injured herself playing domestic cricket in late April.
Scotland captain Kathryn Bryce said at the toss that they were managing a couple of injuries, prompting two changes. Pippa Sproul comes in for Ailsa Lister, who was Scotland's second-highest run-scorer in their close-run defeat to West Indies on Thursday with a 25-ball 33 in the lower middle order. Rachel Slater, the left-arm seamer who was very economical in that match, has been replaced by right-arm medium pacer Hannah Rainey.
Play was set to begin on a fresh pitch in glorious, warm and sunny conditions.
