Toss Netherlands chose to bowl vs India

Netherlands captain Babette de Leede won the toss and chose to bowl first in the team's first-ever T20I encounter against India. They brought in an extra bowler, Myrthe van den Raad, replacing batter Sanya Khurana in overcast conditions at Headingley.

Meanwhile, India made two changes. Nandani Sharma and Yastika Bhatia slotted into the side, playing their first game at this T20 World Cup, in place of Arundhati Reddy and Bharti Fulmali respectively.

At the toss, India captain Harmanpreet Kaur said the side was happy to bat first and that they "wanted to challenge ourselves". Conditions are expected to be bowler-friendly, with the temperature in Headingley hovering below 20 degrees Celsius.

India head into this game after securing a comprehensive 64-run win against Pakistan in their opening encounter. On the other hand, Netherlands, playing their first-ever game at a women's World Cup on Sunday, dragged Bangladesh into the final over of the chase in Birmingham and eventually lost by six wickets.
