Toss Royal Challengers Bengaluru chose to bowl vs Delhi Capitals

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain Rajat Patidar chose to bowl against hosts Delhi Capitals (DC) in Delhi. RCB opener Phil Salt missed a second successive game with injury. Jacob Bethell was not listed in RCB's bowl-first XI, but is the likeliest player to come in as Impact Player when RCB chase later in the evening.

RCB are second in the IPL 2026 points table; while DC are down in sixth place.

While RCB were unchanged, DC made in three changes. Lungi Ngidi, who had banged his head on the ground while fielding against Punjab Kings on Saturday and was later taken to the hospital in an ambulance, has been declared stable but is unavailable for this game. Sri Lanka fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera replaced him. Pathum Nissanka and seamer Mukesh Kumar also dropped out of DC's XI, making way for Sahil Parakh and New Zealand quick Kyle Jamieson.

Parakh, 18, is a promising batter from Maharashtra with a variety of shots in his repertoire. He also has experience of playing for India Under-19. DC's director of cricket Venugopal Rao had picked Parakh as a player to watch ahead of the start of the season.

On Saturday, Delhi served up a big bash where 265 played 264 on pitch no. 6. It was the second-highest aggregate for a T20 match. Rahul cracked 152 not out - the only Indian to score 150 or more in the IPL - but still ended up on the losing side. Monday's game will be played on a different surface (pitch no.5) where where Gujarat Titans (GT) made 210 earlier this season and DC fell short by one run on April 8.
