Chennai Super Kings (CSK) beat Mumbai Indians (MI) by a whopping 103 runs in their IPL 2026 match on Thursday night. It rewrote record books and also forced changes to the Orange and Purple Cap tables.

Orange Cap leaderboard

Welcome to the top three, Sanju Samson!

He now has scored two of the four total IPL centuries hit this season, taking Samson's tally to 293 runs. He is only up to three, though, since apart from the two tons and a 48 in between, there have only been single-digit scores. That keeps the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) duo of Abhishek Sharma (323 runs) and Heinrich Klaasen (320 runs) still atop.

There could be more changes on that table on Friday night when Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) host Gujarat Titans (GT). Shubman Gill is No. 4 on the table with 265 runs, Virat Kohli is at No. 6 with 247 and Rajat Patidar is ninth with 230.

Purple Cap leaderboard

Samson's team-mate Anshul Kamboj is wearing the Purple Cap again. Prince Yadav of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) had joined him at the top with 13 wickets, but Kamboj's 1 for 10 from three overs against MI, the wicket that of Shardul Thakur, has taken him to 14 wickets and No. 1.

Behind Kamboj and Prince are SRH's Eshan Malinga and GT's Prasidh Krishna with 12 each. Krishna will be in action against RCB.
