Melie Kerr: "The saddest part is three legends of the game leave our environment and women's cricket. They'll be missed and we'll celebrate them tonight. Those three mentored me and I've played ten years of my career with them. V grateful to play with them. Ireland gave us a chance, it was in our hands. There were moments with the bat when we had a platform, Danni played beautifully but we offered too much width with the ball. Conditions now, it skidded on, but not too much changes in 2020 cricket. I think we can all recognise it's been disappointing. A lot to work on. Get 5% better in field, bat and ball we can get better."

Danni Wyatt-Hodge is player of the match, for the third time: "T20 is a fickle game, got to start again everytime. A beaut of a pitch to bat on with my mate Dunks. Pretty flat then when the rain came down it skidded on nicely. I felt out of a tree when I was ten, so my wrist grew in a weird way that helps me to hit [over extra cover]. Suzie Bates, an idol growing up, emotional scenes, Sophie and Lea, incredible careers, sad to see them go. Wait for Aus-Ind to see who we play and when. Feet up and watch the football!"

9.47pm So, it's official, there will be a new champion this year, and well, how are England looking at this pivotal juncture? Very, very powerful, it needs to be said! Danni Wyatt-Hodge is having the tournament of a lifetime, and Sophia Dunkley's exceptional 49 from 38 balls has given Charlotte Edwards a timely headache. Someone, presumably, makes way for Nat Sciver-Brunt in the semis, but she's not giving her place up without a fight!

Hari : "Looks like Dani's scintillating form is equivalent to England's powerhouse performances. They didn't have that strike bowler in recent times but Lauren's injection not only gives leverage to Sophie/NSB but also to play a extra all-rounder like Gibson or Freya on the lineup "

Mark : "NZ have a lot of rebuilding to do. Their bowling has not been very penetrative or consistent this tournament and their fielding has been sub-standard. A lot of work to do."

9.43pm And that is that for Group 2. England march on, alongside West Indies, but the story for the moment is the mass exodus of New Zealand's greats! The entire England contingent has joined their opponents in lining up to give a guard of honour to the "Grandmas", Sophie Devine, Suzie Bates and Lea Tahuhu.

What emotional scenes these are! Suffice to say, there are tears, and lots of them. This is not the way New Zealand's old guard wanted to bow out, in a difficult campaign that never quite got started. But they were reigning champions right up until the moment they left the field, and their stunning efforts in the UAE two years ago won't be forgotten in a hurry!
