Good game. Short interviews. Likely cos it's almost time for India-Pakistan. Thanks for being part of our coverage for Netherlands' first ever T20 world cup game. Hope it was as much fun for you as it was for us. Take care.
Nigar Sultana Joty, Bangladesh captain: We started well with the ball. Marufa provided what we expected. The way Juairiya played in the middle was great. Bit of drama but Sharmin and Shorna finished it off cleanly.
Babette de Leede, Netherlands captain: We lost in all three parts. Not enough fire as we hoped. Lost too many wickets. Bangladesh got off to a flier. We dropped a few catches. Lots to learn, great experience overall. Our spinners bowled really well, got us back in the game. We stayed in it till the last over.
Juairiya Ferdous, POTM: It's my first WC and first game. I saw the pitch was flat and target was 140. As openers, we wanted to use the powerplay fully. Can't put to words how I'm feeling. Big achievement for me. All players, officials have supported me. I'll try my best.
1:45pm Bangladesh get a win. Netherlands ran them close in their maiden T20 World Cup game. Ferdous' 50 went a long way in Bangladesh chasing this down. She had a bit of luck, a dropped chance and a third-umpire's call that looked tight. She then kept the rate up and had Dilara for company. De Lange got two in two and S SIegers soon after. Sharmin and Shorna had a tough ask, they managed to put on an unbeaten 56-run stand to take Bangladesh home.
Sharmin's all but sealed this. Will she hit the winning runs? Can Netherlands make it nervy? India are at the ground watching btw. Keeper up. Zwilling to bowl
