Sherfane Rutherford, Player of the Match: First of all, again, I want to thank God for this opportunity. I think as an athlete, it's important to focus on your recovery. Playing a lot of cricket can be tiring, but one thing I've been doing a lot lately is recovery; a lot of massages, pool work. I think recovery becomes important because, mentally, you can be tired from travelling and playing, but I'm just trying to adjust, stay as fresh as possible, and try to train less and do more short sessions. Yeah, definitely, I look back at the last two years. I think this year for me is very important. For a player who has played CPL so much, I think it's important for me to just come and show my worth. It hasn't been happening for the last two years, but I think this year I just want to make sure that I'm ticking the boxes, keeping it simple, and just keep enjoying. Yeah, it's definitely a great start. What's important is our team camaraderie. I think the vibe has been good. Most of us were here last year, so to come back and gel well, I think it was very easy. As a team, we focus on winning. We want to keep getting better every game, keep improving. I think today was another good game for us, and there's still a lot of learning for us to go forward

Tridents have got a very potent spin attack. Motie, Mujeeb and Green are proven assets, especially Motie, who is such a reliable wicket-taking option. They ensured Tridents remained ahead whenever things seemed to be slipping away. As a result of a comfortable win, they are now on top of the table but these are still the early days of the tournament. Rutherford deserved the Player of the Match award for his very timely and impactful knock, which gave them enough runs on the board. Quinton de Kock provided a brisk start as well, alongside Brandon King. This win should give them a lot of confidence and they have started off well after a forgettable last season

Simmonds to Theekshana, FOUR, A low wide full toss shuffles across, and he scoops it past the keeper for four. That is a commanding win. The partnership between Clarke and Rutherford was instrumental in getting the SLK side over the line. SLK are right on top of the table

Shivani: "Does Mujeeb often go under the radar unnoticed? There is a lot of talk about Noor and Rashid but Mujeeb comes in and does the silent job of containing which is very important in T20s. Wish he gets more attention at the IPL."
