Kirk McKenzie, Player of the Match: First, I want to thank God for giving me the strength and courage to come out here and perform. It means a lot for me, but more for the team. It's the first win that we came here for. We had two close games that we lost, so it's good to get on the board now. I actually only came to the ground and the skipper came to me and told me I'd be at the top of the order. We just looked at the matchups, really, for me to express myself. The team, coming into the game today, we just said, "Be fearless." Backs against the wall, nothing to lose. We wanted to give the home team and the home crowd something to smile for, so just be fearless today. Yeah, we're very dangerous because you don't know what we're coming with. Just be free, play my game, do my whole part, just be fearless. A lot of confidence. I've been doing a lot of work behind the scenes, so for it to now manifest itself, I'm really grateful.

Well, the last two games have been of high intensity. This was a crucial contest for Jamaica, and they have delivered, beating the star-studded Trinbago and winning the big moments. Excellent knock at the top by Kirk McKenzie; such a fluent and artistic touch to that innings, with elegant strokes in his 25-ball 69. Reeza Hendricks provided able support, the perfect foil for him, and then Rovman Powell and Andre Russell broke the back of the chase, ensuring there were no hiccups. Usman Tariq was the pick of the bowlers. He was outstanding and gave his team a chance to come back into the game and prevent it from becoming one-way traffic. Earlier, Kieron Pollard and Nicholas Pooran gave some respectability to the total while Hunain Shah was the pick for Jamaica. He bowled superb yorkers, and that helped keep a lid on the score

Hinds to Hassan Khan, 1 run, Over the wicket, rising lifter around the line off, labored pull into the leg side in front of midwicket, not quite on top of the bounce, mistmed it, but brings the set man on the crease which is wise although he himself is no mug with the bat
