Rovman Powell: "[What does this victory mean for your team?] It's massive. We started out knowing that if we are going to progress far in this competition, you have to beat teams like Trinidad and Guyana. They have been the frontrunners for some time in the CPL, so it's massive, especially to come to Trinidad and get two points. [Bowling first for rain forecast] But we weren't preparing for rain, to be honest. We just thought the wicket was a good one, and when you come to Trinidad, you get a bit of dew, so it's always better to chase. That's what drove our decision - rain wasn't really a factor. [Vitel Lawes] As a young team, we decided at the start that we're going to give guys opportunities. It's not a case of them playing one game, bowling one or two bad overs, and then getting dropped. At the start of my career as a youngster, I was given opportunities, so as a captain, I try my best to do the same for these young players. [Saim Ayub batting order] I think it's just down to the matchup against the Trinidadian bowlers. It's the first time we find ourselves with so many left-handers at the top. We're trying to mix and match to keep a left-hand, right-hand combination and see how well it works for us. We're trying our best to keep Akeal Hosein out of the game and force Sunil Narine to come on early to bowl to those left-handers. [Crucial points] Yeah, massive. Now we look ahead to the Guyana game, which becomes an even more important fixture for us. It also gives Andre Russell a bit more time to recover and come back."

Nicholas Pooran: "Tough one to swallow. I think the batsmen did well to get a score of 180. We expected the rain to fall tonight, but it's always tough to lose by DLS. It's a tough pill to swallow. [Top order firing] It was brilliant. Munro and Sunil were brilliant tonight. We saw that when the ball got a bit softer, the dry conditions made it challenging to bat in the middle. So we felt like 180 was a really good score on this ground, but then the rain came and the ball got wet. There's only so much the bowlers can do when the ball isn't getting changed by the umpires as well. So, a tough one to swallow. I think the guys were up for the fight today, but unfortunately, stuff like this happens. As a group, we know what we have to do. We saw today that we have the ability to fight, and that's what we need to do for the next four games. We need to keep fighting and continue to believe that we can win games and see where it takes us. Guyana has momentum as well, so hopefully on Monday we can be on the right side of the result. [Pollard's injury] Yeah, I'm not 100% sure, but he looks fine. Hopefully, he's good to go for Monday."

Player of the Match, Vitel Lawes: "It's been a learning process. I'm going into every game; I have to take some learning from it, going into the next game. Have to learn to adapt to different conditions and atmosphere, so it's been a pretty good learning process for me so far. [Triple-wicket maiden] I mean, the over before was pretty poor. At the halfway stage, the captain told me I had one more over, and I told myself if I do get that over, I want to bowl it well so he gives me another one. [POTM award] It means a lot. Against a team like TKR, there's no better team to get a player of the match award against."

11:32 pm Handshakes are underway in the dressing rooms and dugouts - it's official. Jamaica Kingsmen have won the match by 7 runs via the DLS method. A heartbreaking finish for the home side, ultimately caught out by the rain. A strong start by the Kingsmen against the Knight Riders' spin attack saw them post 54 for 1 in the powerplay, losing Sadaqat early on. McKenzie looked in fine touch before departing for 30, caught at long off while trying to take on Goolie. Following the initial rain break, Carty fell for 42 to Usman Tariq, cleaned up by a low full toss after attempting to play across the line. The Kingsmen played it smart after the rainb break. Ayub kept the scoreboard ticking, remaining unbeaten on 24 by rotating the strike effectively. Powell then came in, took his time before facing, and struck a boundary just before the rain returned to force the players off once again. Having already lost an hour to the earlier delay, nature ultimately had the final say tonight in Port of Spain, Trinidad. With today's win, the Jamaica Kingsmen jump up two spots from fourth into second place.
