Faf du Plessis, Rotterdam Dockers Captain: A little bit nervous on whether you're going to get over the line. You call that a squeaky bum? Squeaky bum across the line. But strangely, you get those games in tournaments where you've just got to find a way to get across. And you look back at a competition, and there were those games, whether you come on the right side or the wrong side. These games are generally the ones that get you through to the knockout. So it's a really good win for us. Yeah, it wasn't an easy surface. Slow, very slow. So I think obviously we didn't expect it to be that slow, looking at the other games before it. The wicket was actually quite nice. So maybe the fact that it is, you know, game five or six or whatever, it just got really slow. And I think what you kind of do is you try and hit the ball harder. And on a wicket like that, it's not necessarily the case. We saw Ben McDermott just coming in and hitting the ball hard into the ground and trying to get those twos, and then you get your four. Not the venue where you come in and hit fours and sixes every ball. And I think we got caught a little bit into that mindset. And then it was a lot of dot balls. So a lot of learning from us from a batting perspective to try and make sure that next time we're in that position, we're not squeaky-bumming the line. Yeah, bowling really quick, which is a big part of what we wanted from someone like him. If you come, you know, to guys who don't face that high pace all the time, 150s, it's quick. So he's done that really well. Come back from a long injury, bowling quick. So he's been very good. But today, a very naughty four, three hits. I think it's the first time I'm involved in that. Ben McDermott, Player of the Match: It was. It was a tough wicket to really start on, but once you sort of got going and you got into your innings, it felt like it got a little bit easier. So, yeah, lucky enough this afternoon I could sort of get a start and get away a little bit and then take it deep. Probably took it too deep in the end. It was a bit close for comfort, but nice to get the job done. No, I've got a little bit of experience behind me now of different roles in T20 cricket, so I'm lucky to lean back on those sort of experiences. And, yeah, that's definitely one for the notebook and to remember because it was nice to finish it off for the boys. I mean, just staying in two shots. It was a little bit slow at times, but a little bit of variable bounce, but looking straight helped me. So, yeah, just staying in my shot and looking to hit straight was probably key to that. That's the coach. The coach decides. No, yeah, he's obviously a very good gloveman, so I'm happy to leave it to him

George Munsey, Glasgow Cosmic Captain: It's difficult to unpack these sort of close games, but I thought it was a really good game of cricket. I think we were chasing it there, and I think some of the boys bowled extremely well. I thought the way Naylor handled himself on debut, the way he batted and bowled there when we were under pressure, was excellent. I think the wicket's been pretty tough to start on in the powerplay, and with the score on the board, we built pressure. I think we did that really well. We just didn't quite get the wickets at the right time to have enough pressure there at the end, and probably a few tactical errors on my part just let the game away a bit. I think we went with the aggressive options at all times, and that's the way I want to play my cricket, and that's the way I've asked the boys to play cricket. So we took some brave decisions there, and it didn't quite go our way today. No, look, really happy with the lads. Got a lot of experience in the dressing room, so, you know, again, we didn't quite get what we wanted to with the bat, and yet we're taking it to the second-last ball there. So very happy with the lads. A few things to talk about just to improve on, but other than that, it's been a good start. Yeah, look, it's a tough ask to bowl a bouncer that ball, but I think the aggressive option there was to get a dot and make them do something different on the tough wicket. So, you know, I'm really pleased for our bowlers, the way they've come back there and held it all the way to the end. Yeah, really good game that. Still early days in the tournament.

Phew! Let me catch a breath! Such an entertaining, low-scoring thriller that kept us hooked right till the end. Paul van Meekeren was the pick of the bowlers from either side, picking up 3-21 and getting the key wickets of Faf, Levitt, and Klaasen. All of the bowlers were economical; they strung together dots and kept themselves in the game. The fielding was sharp, and the teams fought together. It was not just about individuals standing out with brilliance, but in the end, Rotterdam just had a better hold of their nerve, and their depth in batting got them over the line by the barest of margins McDermott held the innings together and remained calm throughout. Earlier, Livingstone's 54 gave Glasgow a ray of hope and inspired the whole team. A few more runs on the board, and they would have been on the ascendancy.
