20.4 oh man, what a way for the partnership to end. Nice loop, but again too full, and it's driven to the right of Jaiswal at cover. Madushka wanted the single, Rasantha didn't, and both ended up at the bowler's end. So it didn't matter that Jaiswal threw to the wrong end, or that Suthar's throw, instead of going to Pant, ended up with Rahul at slip. Eventually the run-out is completed, and the Indians finally have a breakthrough 110/1
49.1 got him, this is what Suthar's overspin-laden trajectory can do even when there isn't much happening off the pitch. Lovely flight and dip outside off, and Rasantha jumps out - as he has been doing profitably right through this innings - but doesn't get close enough to the pitch of the ball to safely hit over the top. Ends up skewing it high in the air, and the man at a deepish mid-off settles nicely under it. Reward for some good bowling from Suthar, who has settled into his lengths nicely after a rusty start 201/3
40.4 looks to rock back and pull but this was fired in and not all that short, the ball skids through to beat his pull and crash into the stumps. Error in judgment from Pasindu Sooriyabandara 171/2
59.3 got him, the short-ball ploy has worked! Deep backward square leg didn't have to move at all. Another bouncer, gets up around shoulder height, and Rathnakaye, stepping deep in his crease, swivels and hooks without trying to keep it down, and picks out the man on the boundary 246/4
60.4 Gurnoor takes an absolute dolly at short fine as Ahan ends up top-edging a sweep he didn't have any control over. Kuldeep shortened his length, got this to bounce a tad extra and the batter fell into the trap. 250/5
87.4 big shout and the finger goes up! Skipper has to depart. Full delivery on the stumps, stays low as Sonal goes for yet another sweep and misses it, the ball brushes his back leg and rolls away. Looked plumb. Good innings comes to an end 354/8
71.1 Picks up a wicket straightaway after the drinks break! Looks like Anjala misjudged the line here. Full delivery around off stump, it skids on, Anjala goes for the cut on the backfoot, misses it and is trapped lbw. Kuldeep immediately appeals and the finger goes up 284/6
85.1 brilliant take from Padikkal and Jadeja strikes! Replays confirm it's not a no-ball. Bowled full and outside off, Mendis looks to cut this away but ends up getting an edge to the first slip, who stays nice and low to collect this with both hands 347/7

0.2 Oh, Jaiswal's gone second ball! Flashes at a wide delivery that's swinging away and ends up slashing it straight to backward point! Vishwa Fernando strikes early. Jaiswal will be disappointed at not using this chance to get used to conditions here, throwing away his wicket early like that 0/1
23.2 cleans him up with a beauty! Rahul lulled into a hoick but doesn't get to the pitch of it as the ball spins back in to beat Rahul's wild swish and crash into the stumps. The turn did him in. A wicket well-deserved for the bowler. Rahul will look back at the shot and cringe at having thrown away a great chance to score big runs in the lead up to the first Test. 96/2

39.4 Dropped short and Padikkal rocks back to nail a pull in front of square leg to bring up a century! And Padikkal will now retire out! If there's a spot to grab in the batting lineup, Padikkal has definitely put his hand up here with a very impressive knock. Looked fluent throughout 168/3
65 This one slides down leg 250/5
41.3 And Pant holes out! Mid-off was pushed back this time and Pant hits it right to the man! Again tries to come down the track to take on a full ball on middle and leg, looking to hit it on the leg side. Gets a leading edge again and that'll be the end of his very brief knock 170/4
43.5 Oh, what a catch! Jurel fends on the back foot and the ball goes straight to Nipun Dhananjaya at short square leg, who can't hold on as he falls to his right. The ball bounces up further to his right but he's able to dive and grab that even as the keeper came in to try and assist. Excellent fielding and India lose another 174/5
72.1 Up goes the finger! Siraj remonstrates with the umpire, but there's no DRS here. It's full around leg, could have been just outside leg, and then raps him in front. Suthar falls for 41, a knock that showed some promise 256/8
70 Full outside off, parried towards cover 255/6
72.3 Balloons up and taken. Asanka bounces Siraj out as he tries to pull. Top edge and it goes right up in the air. Asanka claims it and holds on to the return catch/ Siraj was entertaining for his short duration out here, but the fun ends 257/9

4.5 Would be shocked if that isn't out. Yeah, no line issues, no height issues. Goner. Fuller side of length, lands around off and decks back in. Rasantha not much forward, looks to defend straight, beaten on the inside edge. Hit halfway up the pad in front of middle and off 9/1
7.3 That's why Prasidh's bowling I guess. Middle stump is evicted without notice. Was an overpitched ball angling in towards middle and leg, Sooriyabandara didn't stride far enough and ended up hurried on the straight-drive and overbalanced too. Okay the side-on replay is in and this looks poor: Sooriyabandara's back foot went deep in the crease and his front foot was behind the crease as he played the shot. He just cramped himself basically 26/2
18.1 Rathnayake drives it straight to point and Harsh Dubey makes no mistake! This is full outside off, not quite a half-volley, and Rathnayake pushes at it with an open face away from his body. Ends up tamely chipping it to the fielder, who has to parry it up before completing the catch 77/3
33 Hard hands, taken at slip. Bandara and Perera tried multiple things to take Jadeja off his usual landing spots but he's too good. Darts one on a length just outside off, Bandara looks to defend towards mid-off and a thickish edge goes quickly to Jaiswal 144/4
44.1 A cheeky Jadeja denies Nipun Dhananjaya a fifty! Dhananjaya skips down the track to try and take Jadeja on and he pulls his length back and tosses it up wider to beat him all ends up for a simple stumping! 199/6
38 Brar tests the pitch and the resultant spite gets rid of Dinusha. There hasn't been pace off the pitch for short balls, not for Brar on this occasion. He goes wider and Dinusha goes for the cut. Taken aback by the bounce. He pulled the power out but couldn't stop himself from feebly fending a tickle to the keeper 165/5
