Australia captain Mitch Marsh: "Great game of cricket. I thought Zimbabwe probably deserved to win but the boys got the job done at the end there and that was fantastic to see. We're aware we need to keep improving as a team. I thought the way we played over the three matches, albeit today we got lucky, but there's lots of positive signs with our group. We've got some young talent which is exciting for the future. I love Coop but I thought Nathan Ellis was pretty stiff not to be man of the series. He's a champion. He's someone I go to, he's a great leader in our group."

Player of the match Josh Inglis: "It was a difficult couple of games, I was disappointed with my output but to get a score and help us win a game today, I'm happy. I was going well until that lapse in concentration. Nelly bailed me out there."

Player of the series Cooper Connolly: "I just trusted my processes and was lucky enough to have success this series but there's still a lot of cricket to go. I'm trying to keep it as simple as possible."

Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza: "I thought 280-290 was par with the bat so to make a game out of 272 was a great effort. As a captain I'm really proud. Plenty to learn. I'd rather have a game like that than for the Aussies to just chase it down in 40 overs. A lot of positives but it's the one that got away. One thing we've learned, three hundreds by the Aussies and none from us. In ODIs you need the top four getting hundreds."

Prakash: "My word, Ellis has been robbed twice there. Deserved both POTM and POTS."

Pranshu: "Nathan Ellis robbed of MOTS. 51 runs without getting dismissed and 9 wickets at an average of 12."

5.36pm What a performance by Ellis and Johnson. They score 27 off 27 to win the game nine down. Madhevere is heartbroken and is consoled by his captain. That's a stunning win. Zimbabwe had them and could not finish it off. Ellis finishes with a career best 37 not out to go with three wickets. Johnson was ice cool too. Zampa played a great hand too after Inglis' outstanding century gave them a chance.

Gnasher notes that is Australia's sixth one-wicket win in ODIs and their second in four games after one in Mirpur in June.
