9:55pm Right, that's all from us tonight. The series moves on to Bristol on Saturday. See you then!
9:54pm India's deputising skipper Smriti Mandhana heaps praise on debutant Nandani Sharma, who took 3 for 34: "She's just brilliant. She's a character. She comes with a lot of fire. We saw that in the WPL when she bowled with Delhi Capitals. On debut, to come back from her first over, and take wickets, was really special.
"For a debutant, it's incredible to see the confidence these girls get nowadays."
9:50pm Here's England stand-in captain Charlie Dean: Disappointing. We felt like we were at a really good stage with the bat, at the halfway stage.
"I'm really proud of the effort the girls put in, in tough conditions (first innings). There are elements of real positivity in there. Promising in those aspects (fielding especially) but disappointing not to get over the line.
"That was reminiscent of the game we had down at Canterbury (against New Zealand). On top in terms of wickets but couldn't break the backend partnership.
"The difference it felt like today was that massive partnership. Unfortunately we didn't have some set batters at the end. We're working with a bit of a younger middle order and we have full faith they'll come through."
9:47pm Player of the match is India's Jemimah Rodrigues for her 69 off 40: "A lot of credit goes to Yastika too, the way she kept going took a load off me. The partnership was very crucial - we assessed the conditions well.
"Initially there was a bit of hold. Anything into the wicket was holding. You can't say it's slow because we're used to Indian conditions, but for an English pitch it was slow. Playing squarer really helped.
"I trust my instincts and back myself. It's important for me to be smart in that way and pick my gaps well."
9:42pm tippy : "I worry that England women don't 'believe' in themselves that they are as good as India". Certainly no real belief they could find the fence as regularly to take the chase deep.
