On that note it's a wrap from us. Stay tuned though, the second of today's double-header is not far off. Until then, it's goodbye.
Duan Jansen is Player of the Match for his 4 for 23: "I'm very excited and very happy. It's been good to make a statement having not been involved in the last tournament, and also to add value to the team. I always knew I belong here, but it was nice putting the performance for the team. Very chilled with this performance. [Competition with Jansen twins?] 100%! We had a chat this morning about gameplans and stuff. I'm definitely going to send him a msg before he goes and plays."
Faf du Plessis: "Especially Rilee and Wiaan - it was a bit tricky and spicy with the new ball - just the maturity with their batting to hang in there and build a partnership. They're the reason we got a decent total. Probably felt we were about 15 light considering how they batted. But that partnership for me was key, and then we saw what the wicket was doing so the plans were pretty straightforward. It was a little bit up and down. How you adapt to the conditions is key. It's a scrappy win. It's one of those where you didn't play at your best, maybe they should have won considering the start they got. So really we got a fighting, hardworking, favourite kind of win."
Keshav Maharaj: "We gave maybe 10-15 too much on a wicket that was a bit spicy. But we still brought it back really nicely. We sort of lost our way in the middle phase with the bat. We should have probably been a little bit more consistent with our lengths, maybe things might have been different if we rectify that. I thought we did really well in phases though. Not ideal to start this way, but need to iron out the cob webs and go well into the next game."
Time for the post match presentation...
vishwa: "felt like rewatch of last year dsg vs pc match where pc scored 154/0 still couldn't chase 210"
4.37pm From having set a supposedly subpar target, JSK have pulled off an impressive win away from home against Pretoria Capitals. Their bowlers did a spectacular job defending on what was not a bad batting track. Both sets of seamers used the extra bounce on offer expertly, but none more so that Duan Jansen - the temporary replacement in the JSK squad - who finished with match-turning figures of 4 for 23. At 71 for no loss it didn't look like it would end this way, but a stunning collapse of 5 for 18 shifted the direction of the game drastically. And there was no coming back from that for PC.

Mos: "How did PC lose this game from 71/0? "
Shadow-Shell: "I believe Super Kings needed Capitals to score 134 or below for the bonus point. So no bonus points in this match" --- Correct.
Shadow-Shell: "Can Super Kings get bonus points now?" --- According to Pommy on air, that last boundary meant it was now out of the equation.
