Scorer: Binoy George | Commentator: Deivarayan Muthu
9.20pm The stars have aligned for JSK. They make the playoffs with just three wins in ten league matches this season. Look at the scenes at the Wanderers. The crowd gets behind Ferreira and Madsen. Chants of "JSK! JSK! JSK!" ring around the venue. Before the ball sailed for six, Ferreira started to celebrate. He knew he had nailed it. Madsen hugs Ferreira. Pretoria Capitals have been knocked out. MI Cape Town, meanwhile, finish at the bottom of the table. Hope you enjoyed our coverage as much as we did bringing it to you. Thanks for tuning in. Until next time, this is Deivarayan Muthu signing off on the behalf of Binoy George. Goodbye and cheers.
Maharaj, DSG captain: The connection off the field. We've been a tight-knit unit and different energy within the team despite the losses. Lance is a positive guy and he brings out the best from the players. He has been invaluable for us so far. I wish I knew what Klaasen has for breakfast. We need to go back and build on the positives from this game.
Faf, JSK captain and Player of the Match: Very tired. Amazing how the game of cricket has fortunes changing. I thought we were dead and buried when we were heading to the ground. To put on a performance like that in front of the crowd...To be honest, we felt bad in terms of our performances for the crowd. If we play to our potential, we are a dangerous team. The crowd helps us a lot and we are very grateful for that. On wickets like these, you need a good start. Myself and du Plooy gave that to the team. I have not been at my best throughout the tournament; frustrated with that but in games like these you find the soldier inside you. We're playing the Eliminator at home and then even game after that is at home. The crowd will be behind us and if we can put in a performance like this, we will be a difficult team to beat.
Aditya Murugesh: "That Ferreira finish had a little bit of Dhoni's 2010 Dharamshala vibes to it. The title is ours baby!!"
Chris : "I hope that clears up why I said that JSK should have sent Ferreira in "
Aditya Murugesh: "I've been making all these calculations, permutations for JSK throughout all games in the Cricinfo comment section. It has finally paid off. Here's to the title!"
Ferreira in with JSK needing 9 off 4 balls
MM Ali c Naveen-ul-Haq b Pretorius 26 (13m 12b 2x4 2x6) SR: 216.66
JSK need 13 off six balls. Will Topley bowl the final over for DSG? Nope, it's Pretorius
END OF OVER:19 | 15 Runs | JSK: 191/2 (13 runs required from 6 balls, RR: 10.05, RRR: 13.00)
- Wayne Madsen44 (29b)
- Moeen Ali22 (10b)
- Naveen-ul-Haq4-0-44-0
- Dwaine Pretorius3-0-32-0
Chris' feedback hasn't aged well. Moeen is bringing it home for JSK
