Scorer: Harshith Gowda | Commentator: Rvel Zahid

Nicholas Pooran, MINY Captain: I'm not going to blame the batsmen or the bowlers. I felt 185 was a really good score on that pitch. We got off to a really good start with the ball in the powerplay. Rachin and Gous played really well there. Obviously, the wind changed direction on us a bit, which made things tougher. I don't think we had the right plans, and to be honest, we weren't quite sure what to do. That said, Gous took his chance and took the game away from us in those two overs, so credit to him. Personally, I'm feeling good. I'm happy to get some runs. Obviously, it's tough to lose the game, but it's a nice feeling heading into the playoffs. We're looking forward to the opportunity in San Francisco, regardless of who we play

Right then, it was a fun outing for both sides. They were all relaxed, having already secured their playoff spots before this game. Washington Freedom were comfortably the better team; far more balanced and packed with big names as well as several in-form players. Nicholas Pooran's 86 helped MI New York post a fighting total, but Andries Gous bettered it with a scintillating 96. Both innings were immensely entertaining and filled with exquisite fours and well-timed sixes. The weather took a dramatic turn in the last hour or so, with the wind helping the batters. MI New York found it difficult to contain the Freedom lineup. Trent Boult was economical, and so was Shakib Al Hasan, but the rest of the bowling attack failed to make much of an impact, with Ehsan Adil and Romario Shepherd struggling the most. That's all from this game. Texas Super Kings take on Los Angeles Knight Riders very shortly, and Rashad has already fired up the commentary, so feel free to switch to the other tab. Goodbye from me, Rvel Zahid, on behalf of my scoring partner, Harshith Gowda.

Ugarkar to Maxwell, FOUR, Bowls it short and pace-off, angling back in at middle, calmly tugged away into the gap at backward square for a four and that will be that! A thumping win! Lots of depth in their line-up and a plethora of match-winners. They are a strong contender to win the MLC 2026 season

Ehsan Adil to Maxwell, no run, Good change of pace, befuddles him with a never-arriving shorter ball that cuts back in and hits him just above the waist, prolonged appeal for an lbw. Sent for a look upstairs. Pitching outside off, impact in line and goes over leg-stump

Ehsan Adil to Maxwell, 1 wide, Tries a bouncer and it's way over his head, given as a wide on height, five away from the win, think he will go for the glory shot

2
Ehsan Adil to Maxwell, 2 runs, Darts in a short ball and angles it across, loses his balance and mistimes it, gets a top-edge to deep square region, lucky it falls in no man's land
