Faf du Plessis' spellbinding hundred and Rilee Rossouw's blistering 49 off 21 broke the back of the chase before Mulder's cameo ensured there was no drama towards the end. It looked as though they had it all mapped out perfectly, pacing the chase to perfection. How often have we seen Faf make big hundreds? Once he gets a start, he is incredibly difficult to contain. He led by example, dominated throughout and brought up his fourth ton in MLC. Earlier, Tim Seifert's hundred and Shayan Jahangir's 78 propelled the Orcas to an imposing total but they were up against a batting line-up packed with quality. And once Faf got going, it was always going to be a tall order to keep him quiet.
