There we have it. A rather comprehensive win for the Associate Side at home against a Full Member. Caveats over the strength of SA's side should not take away from just how well Namibia played. Bacha Khan : "The pattern is pretty clear at this point South Africa's best are either 'unavailable' or 'injured' for international assignments but somehow fit as a fiddle when league contracts are on the line. 5:27pm: Namibia win in the end, they won most of the game. They started brilliantly with the bat. After a substandard finish, they turned up with the ball. They got three in the first seven overs, gave little to nothing away. Trumpelmann, Heingo and Brassell took the first three wickets. Three-fors for Smit and Trumplemann, who was excellent with his use of angles and mix-ups of lengths. Brevis single-handedly kept South Africa in the game. His 75 took them close, that's the best he could do.
