It was Galle's batting that really did the legwork on this win, although their bowling was pretty good on a good batting track too. Chamika Karunaratne was outstanding with the bat crashing 72 not out of 34 balls. He had been set up nicely by the four batters above him, however: Sam Harper, Nurul Hasan, Charith Asalanka, and Sahan Arachchige had all played important innings as well. Once they got to 220 for 6, they were always going to be difficult to take down.

Sixers made a good start to the chase through Niroshan Dickwella primarily. But once the wickets started to fall, they collapsed quickly and did not mount a serious challenge outside the power play.

Sixers stay low in the table, and Gallants are in the lead going into the Kandy leg of this tournament.

Malinga to Theekshana, 2 runs, A top edge into the offside infield, and as the fielder can't quite close the gap and get to the ball, Sixers can take two to finish their innings. They have fallen very short, however, and Galle Gallants go clear at the top of the table with eight points.

Malinga to Theekshana, FOUR, Uff. Where is this coming from? This is full, almost a yorker, on the stumps. Theekshana backs away and drills it past cover, hitting it very sweetly to send the ball scorching to the rope.

Malinga to Theekshana, FOUR, Kavs is behind square on the offside now. This was a 139 km/h delivery pitched full and wide off. Theekshana stands tall and slices that over backward point for one-bounce, four.

Malinga to Theekshana, FOUR, Slower yorker on the stumps. Theekshana picks it, waits for it, and bashes it down the ground all along the carpet for four. That was a front-of-hand off cutter, but Theekshana was wise to it.

Malinga to Theekshana, no run, Yorker looking for the base of the middle stump. Theekshana backs away and tries to hit through the offside but mis-hits it back to the bowler.
