8:54pm Of course, Rashid Khan, with his maiden Hundred five-wicket haul, is The Meerkat Match Hero: "I needed those wickets. I've had quite a quiet tournament for me but just tried to keep things quite simple.

"It does make a difference when we have big runs on the board. If you keep it simple and hit the right areas then you get rewards. They had a brilliant start (MSG) but we had the belief that if we had a couple of quick wickets it would bring us back in the game."

Rashid Khan also confirms this is his last appearance in this season's Hundred. He will be off to Ireland tonight ahead of a five-match ODI series which concludes on August 15 (the day before The Hundred final: "National duty is something that is the first priority. I've had a great time here over the last two or three weeks. I'm going tonight to Ireland to play the ODIs in Ireland."
