When your opposition set you a huge target, you need your top order to spark. That's not what the Reds did today. Only three of the Reds batters made it into double figures with Kruger top scoring on 33. Only two other batters made it into double figures. With Extras the second top scorer. Six of the seven Lightning bowlers picked up a wicket, with Harry Tector the only one to go wicketless. Never giving the Reds a chance to chase down this total. With Harbinson finishing on three wickets The Lightning have totally dominated this game today, winning by 75 points and pick up a bonus point for the huge victory. With them now 17 points clear of the Knights, it means that they can't be caught at the top and have won the IP20 title! Congratualtions to the Lightning players and their fans. Gavin Hoey has been named the player of the match, so well done to him too. That's it for today, although hopefully you'll join me again tomorrow as these two teams will be competing in an IP50 match, starting at 10.45am. Until then, this is Justin saying goodbye from Cork.
