Former five-star quarterback Malachi Nelson is the expected starter for Syracuse against Virginia tomorrow, per an ESPN source. Last week’s starter, Amari Odom, is doubtful. The opening day starter, Steve Angeli, is out.
Nelson is the former ESPN No. 1 overall recruit from the class of the Class of 2023. He’s played at USC, Boise State, UTEP and now Syracuse.
