Sources: North Texas has named veteran transfer Tayven Jackson the school’s starting quarterback, and he’ll debut at his former school, Indiana, in his home state. He’s started 16 games and appeared in 27 over a career that’s included stops at UCF, IU and Tennessee.
Jackson will be first-year coach Neal Brown’s first starting quarterback. His debut will come in Bloomington in IU’s first game since winning the national title. He’s thrown for a career3,451 yds and 16 TDs and rushed for 8 TDs.
