Clemson starting offensive lineman Elyjah Thurmon was stretchered off the field after taking a helmet-to-helmet hit in the second quarter Saturday against Florida State.
Thurmon was helping push the pile on a run play when a Florida State linebacker came rushing in at full speed and made direct contact with his helmet. Thurmon was down for several minutes before being placed on a stretcher and carted off.
Thurmon was transported by ambulance to FSU Health for further evaluation.
He was able to give a thumbs-up as he was being taken off the field.
