David Gabriel Georges is a 6-foot, 205-pound chiseled running back with a dangerous combination of strength, agility, speed and quickness that serves as the ideal complement to his solid know-how and timing.
No wonder the Baylor School (Chattanooga, Tennessee) star checks in at No. 13 overall in the SCNext 300.
Still, what makes his gridiron attributes downright unfair is that he would almost certainly rank No. 1 if SCNext charted blocking backs.
Just ask Legacy High School (Texas).
Last week on the opening kickoff, Georges laid a vicious block that flung a Legacy player well out of the way, allowing a Red Raiders teammate to scamper cleanly up the sideline for a touchdown.
The Red Raiders went on to win 41-14.
"He just kept running straight toward me," said Georges, who is committed to Tennessee. "So I was like, 'I'm just going to pop him.' I expected him to go back a little bit, but then he left his feet. It was pretty wild. After that game I went to the Tennessee game and all the coaches were asking me about the block. They were really excited."
Makes sense for a player who snagged a state title at Baylor School last season, racking up 1,749 rushing yards and 27 touchdowns on 161 carries as a junior.
Currently, Georges is averaging 9.2 yards per carry with 1,154 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns for the Red Raiders (9-0).
All that aside, what's clear is that Georges' latest block is probably his best so far.
Or is it?
"Hmm, I don't know about that," Georges quipped. "I'd say top three."
