Alabama OL Sanders out multiple weeks with lower body injury

Alabama starting left guard William Sanders is expected to be sidelined for at least two weeks as he deals with a lower-leg injury he suffered during Saturday's 31-20 win over visiting Texas A&M.

The junior has started all eight games for the Crimson Tide this season. His one pressure allowed is the fewest among the team's starting offensive linemen.

Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer told reporters following the game that Sanders will be evaluated again Sunday.

"He's probably the one guy that could be out for a little bit," DeBoer said. "So, we'll kind of see more tomorrow. But maybe not a week or two, might be a couple more than that."

Alabama was also without starting center Racin Delgatty as he's missed the past two games with a lower-body injury.

Other starters out with injuries were wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams, cornerback Zabien Brown and defensive tackle Terrance Green.

Reserve running back EJ Crowell missed the game as well.

DeBoer said they're "optimistic" that "a lot" of players will be able to return from injuries when Alabama plays at LSU on Nov. 7 following the bye week.
